This means that the safety is top notch even though some of the rides are more nail-biting and extreme than anything you have ever experienced. Like the world’s fastest rollercoaster with a top speed of 240 km per hour!

Abu Dhabi Ferrari World

Shift into first gear at the world’s largest indoor park which offers more than 20 exhilarating Ferrari-inspired rides and attractions for visitors of all ages. Whether you crave the intense G-force of world-class rollercoasters, want to go-kart race with your family or challenge the best lap times in a simulator, there is excitement for the entire family. Let’s get straight to it… The fastest rollercoaster on the planet: Formula Rossa. It will take you from 0 to 240 km/h in 4.9 seconds, while soaring to heights of 52 meters. Nope, not kidding! Meanwhile, the Flying Aces climb 63 meters at a 51-degree angle and fly through the world’s highest rollercoaster loop while hitting speeds of up to 120 km/h.

You’ll also find the Tyre Change Experience which tests your pace as a Formula1 pit crew member, family-friendly attractions, state-of-the-art simulators, electric-powered go-karts, live shows and an inspiring collection of racing memorabilia and ultra-rare Ferrari cars.

Yas Waterworld

Spread over 37 acres, this full-day waterpark brings you and your family spine-tingling water fun across a range of thrill levels. With over 40 rides, slides and attractions, five of which are one-of-a-kind, you’re sure to have a splash of a day. Get your adrenaline going with Dawwama, the world’s largest six-person tornado water coaster which plunges you from a mountaintop before zooming into the 20-meter-deep tornado funnel. The Bandit Bomber is a suspended rollercoaster with water and laser effects while the Liwa Loop is an intense freefall drop waterslide.

It’s not all death-defying rides though, there are also water playgrounds, wave pools, a lazy river and body boarding on offer. With several restaurants on site, you are good to stay all day.

Warner Bros World

Covering 1.65 million sqft., this is the world’s biggest indoor theme park (yes, it’s airconditioned). Based on the legendary characters from the Warner Bros studio, such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Bugs Bunny, Scooby-Doo and Fred Flintstone, the park features 29 rides and interactive attractions. There are six immersive worlds with action and adventure: Bedrock, Dynamite Gulch, Cartoon Junction, Gotham City, Metropolis and Warner Bros. Plaza. Each of these worlds have incredibly detailed scenic backdrops and themed restaurants, making kids feel that they are truly part of the adventure.

Wadi Adventure

You will find this family-friendly adventure park about 90 minutes’ drive from Abu Dhabi in the oasis town Al Ain. This is the place for an intense spot of white-water rafting. The 1,100 meters long, manmade rapids here can get pretty ferocious. There are three levels to try, suitable for both beginners and experts, and you can battle the rapids by raft or kayak. Wadi Adventure also features a surfing wall, wakeboarding facilities, swimming pool and splash pool.

If you can handle it, try to tackle the 18-obstacle, two-level airpark, the 1,200-meter long zipline, the climbing wall or the 14-meter-high giant swing.

Murjan Splash Park

For kids up to the age of 12, this water park in Khalifa Park features a water play area with a shallow pool, four small waterslides, tipping buckets, a crawl tunnel, water guns, a water umbrella, a water wheel, and water showers. There is also bumper boats and a shallow lazy river for kids to float down in tubes.
